Rome
The Jewish Museum of Rome, beneath the Great Synagogue on the Tiber, documents one of the oldest Jewish communities in Europe, present in the city for over two thousand years. Silver, textiles, and marble fragments trace its history, including the centuries confined to the ghetto. A visit includes the synagogue above.
