Shenzhen International Museum of Art

The Shenzhen International Museum of Art (SIMoA) opened in 2026 in Guangming Science City, in the north of Shenzhen, as part of a cluster of new cultural and scientific institutions. Designed by Cui Kai, the 135,000-square-metre building takes the form of two hull-shaped structures evoking Eastern and Western cultures, linked by a central hall framing a circular Moon Gate. It holds fifteen exhibition halls dedicated to international loans and exchange, and opened with a programme spanning ancient bronzes, European old masters, and contemporary art.
