Concord
The Concord Museum gathers objects from the town's outsized role in American history and letters, including one of the lanterns hung to signal the British advance in 1775. Ralph Waldo Emerson's study is reconstructed here, alongside the largest collection of Thoreau artifacts, among them belongings from his cabin at Walden Pond. Galleries trace the area from Native settlement through the Revolution and the Transcendentalists.
