The Scuola Grande di San Rocco, a Renaissance confraternity hall, holds the greatest cycle of paintings Tintoretto ever made, more than sixty canvases produced over two decades. The vast Crucifixion fills the Sala dell'Albergo, and biblical scenes cover the walls and ceilings of the upper hall. Mirrors are provided so visitors can study the ceilings without straining.
