The Design Museum, in a former Commonwealth Institute building beneath a sweeping hyperbolic-paraboloid roof in Kensington, is devoted to contemporary product, industrial, graphic, and fashion design. Its free permanent display, Designer Maker User, traces how objects are made and used. Ticketed shows examine individual designers and design themes.
