Chicago
The Frederick C. Robie House, completed in 1910 in Hyde Park, is Frank Lloyd Wright's masterwork of the Prairie style, with sweeping horizontal lines and bands of art-glass windows. Designed as a unified whole down to the furniture and rugs, it anticipates much of twentieth-century residential design. It is part of a group of Wright buildings inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
