Vienna
The House of Austrian History, opened in 2018 in the Neue Burg, is the country's first national museum devoted to its modern history. Galleries trace the period from the late nineteenth century through the republic, the Nazi era, and the postwar decades. The museum treats contested chapters of the national story directly.
